About Us
Like many on the Louisiana coast, the people around Lake Charles and the Sabine River have been working hard to come back from devastating storms. The tough and beautiful daylily is alive and well in our members' gardens. We draw members from the central bayou country around New Iberia, the prairie land of the SW LA parishes and even from the coast and piney woods of East Texas. Our members love to share their wealth of gardening experience in growing award wining daylilies and winning awards with them in flower shows. We gratefully count among our roster a past AHS President and many officers of area clubs as well as our fine members who just love to collect beautiful flowers. Flowers may have caught our eye, but it is the fellowship of friends and fun that binds us as a club.
 
 Activities
We often have speakers and programs on gardening topics at our meetings. We usually participate in the Spring Garden Days held in the Burton Coliseum in Lake Charles and this includes a daylily plant sale. Contact our President for details & dates.
