Mrs. Beth Crochet of Prairieville was a tremendous asset to not only her local clubs, Region 13 as Director to the AHS Board but to AHS as National Vice President and Chairman of the Regional Officers Committee. Beth lived in Prairieville, LA with her family and husband, Clarence, where he still grows terrific daylilies in their Crochet Daylily Gardens. She was a retired teacher, great cook, lover of music and art, travel and LSU Tiger football. She would often gently tease Clarence during their slide presentations and as guest speakers on daylilies to the delight of their audiences. She was a treasured friend.
Beth passed away in 2006 after a fight with cancer. She is missed by her family of 6 children and numerous grandchildren as well as her many friends.
Her legacy continues of sharing knowledge with others, teamwork and personal commitment to work for the good of all has given many of us a wider vision and clearer goals. Thank you, Beth.
Remembrances of Miss Beth will be included here as permitted.
